Rooted in Nature Bundle!

On Monday, I shared a couple of cards I made using the Rooted In Nature Bundle along with a couple of colors from the Regals Color Collection.

Today, I have a video for you to see showcasing the Rooted In Nature Bundle.

This bundle has six great sentiments that can be used for all occasions.
- To Thank You For All You Do
- Words Are Never Enough
- Be Strong   Be Happy   Be You
- Just For You
- You Are Wonderful
- Thinking of You

I can't wait to make a fall or masculine card with it.  Check out the Nature's Poem Product Suite on pages 142-143 in the new Annual Catalog.

Petal Passion Bundle!

Recently, I mailed cards to several of my friends who needed to know that I was I'm thinking of them.

When I decided on a card to make, I immediately thought of the Petal Passion Suite of products because when stamped, they create a soft and subtle look.
Here is the card I made with the Petal Palette Stamp Set and the Petals & More Thinlits Dies.
I used the sentiment from the Weather Together Stamp Set...just because I liked the "wishing you brighter days!" sentiment.  It was exactly what I wanted to say.

Petal passion-brighter days card

I love the collage look and I made this card mixing a lot of different colors, stamp sets and dies.

First, I spritzed the card using one of our Stampin' Spritzers to give the card a softer look.   Spritzers are one of those cool tools that I forget that I have, but they create such a unique look.  The colors can be vibrant when you add several drops of refill ink or they can look softer when you use just a few drops of refill ink.

Once you add the amount of refill ink you want, fill the remaining Stampin' Spritzer bottle (3/4 full) with at least 70% by volume of alcohol.

Next I spritzed a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock 2-3 times.  Then I took a marker in the same color and flicked the brush tip end to make speckles.

Here is the product I used to make this card:

- Petal Palette Bundle (Wood-145973; Clear-145974)
- Birds & Blooms Thinlits (141477)
- Seasonal Layers Thinlits (143751)
- Weather Together Stamp Set (141543)
- Cardstock:  Shimmery White (101910); Soft Sky (131203); Pink Pirouette (111351); Wild Wasabi (108641)
- Inks:  Wild Wasabi (126959); Bermuda Bay Refill (131156); Archival Black (140931)
- Pool Party Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (144605)
- Stampin' Spritzers (126185)

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.

Happy stamping!

Brusho Crystal Colour Samples!

Want to see Brusho Crystal Colour in Action?

If you watched the video on Brusho that I posted on my Facebook Page, you were able to see how much fun it is to play with this new product.  Now I want to share a couple of samples I made using it.

The first card uses Brusho Crystal Colour (144101) to make a Happy Birthday Card. I used both the Brilliant Red and Gamboge (Orange) to create the beautiful background. Then I stamped Happy Birthday on the background using Archival Black Ink.

Brusho-HB Card

The second card uses Yellow Brusho to create the background.  I stamped the butterfly from the Beautiful Day Stamp Set (Wood-145912; Clear-145915) for this bold and beautiful Celebrate card.  Then I cut out the butterfly and placed it on the sponged card base as shown.

Amazing You times Four!

 Stamparatus

Yes you are seeing this correctly...this is the new Stamparatus!

Why am I showing you this new tool now?  So you can see how I used it to make an AMAZING card.  Just by moving the plate down a notch each time and with a different color ink, it created this amazing look on the card.  I started with the lightest ink first...Powder Pink and then went to Melon Mambo, Berry Burst and finally, Rich Razzleberry.

With the Stamparatus, if your image does not stamp solid the first time, all you have to do is re-ink the image and the tool places the image exactly in the same spot.

A Little Wild Bundle!

Over the last several weeks I've been sharing product suites in the new Annual Catalog.

However, today I'm going to share a card I made with the 'A Little Wild' Bundle.

My grand daughter turns two today, so I needed to make a special card...right?

It's easy to make a great card using the 'A Little Wild' Bundle, but to make it even better, I used the new Embossing Paste, added some color and voilá...it added that special touch I wanted.

A Little Wild BD Card

To add color to the Embossing Paste, I pulled out about one tablespoon of paste and put it on the Silicone Craft Sheet.  Then I added one drop each of Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry and mixed them into the white paste.

I taped one of the decorative masks to the Very Vanilla Cardstock using Washi Tape and spread the colored paste over the top using a Palette Knife.  (Make sure you drop your palette knife, the decorative mask and silicone mask into hot water as soon as you are done spreading the paste.)  Let the paste dry for about 15 minutes and then you can decorate however you want.

For the final touch I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the lion to give it some bling.

Products used for this card:

  • A Little Wild Bundle (Wood-145327; Clear-145328)
  • Number of Years Stamp Set (140653)
  • Large Numbers Framelits (140622)
  • Layering Circles Framelits (141705)
  • 2 1/4" Circle Punch (143720)
  • Embossing Paste (141979)
  • Palette Knives (142808)
  • Clear Wink of Stella (141897)
  • Pattern Party Decorative Masks, set of 4 (144103)
  • Silicone Craft Sheet (127853)
  • Aqua Painter (103954)

  • Inks:  Chocolate Chip (126979); Tangerine Tango (126946); Crushed Curry (131173); Black Archival (140931)

I hope you enjoy my card today.

Let's Celebrate with the Bundle of Love Suite!

There are so many things to celebrate with the Bundle of Love Suite.  One of my favorite things about this suite is the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.  It has gold foil running through several pages of the designer series paper.  Check it out:

Bundle-of-Love-Specialty-DSP 17

Here are several projects made from the Bundle of Love Suite.

Bundle of Love Spec DSP-Projects

The 'So Happy For You' card was made by sponging the gold foil paper using some Emerald Envy Ink (but you can use any color of your choosing).  Isn't it beautiful?

These projects are all beautiful, but I created a card of my own using the designer series paper.  Because I don't currently own the Born to Be Loved Stamp Set, I chose a sentiment from the Label Me Pretty Stamp Set.  Check out my card to see how gorgeous the gold foil paper is when creating a card or project.

Bundle of Love Card Collage

And of course, I had to stamp on the inside to finish the card.

Products Used:

  • Label Me Pretty Stamp Set (143861)
  • Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (144143)
  • 3/8" Metallic-Edge Gold Ribbon (144146)
  • Decorative Ribbon Border Punch (143721)
  • Pretty Label Punch (143715)
  • 1 1/4" Circle Punch (119861)
  • Gold Embossing Powder (109129)
  • Gold Sequin Trim
  • Cardstock:  Very Vanilla
  • Stampin' Dimensionals

The suite is so elegant, you can use it for weddings, anniversaries or for a new baby.  I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Just click on the 'SHOP' button if you want to place an order.

Thank you.

Mother's Day Card!

Are you hand stamping a card for your mother (or in my case, mother-in-law) for Mother's Day?  I hope you are; however, if you are out of ideas, here is one I'd like to share.

Mothers Day Card 5-17

Other than this card being beautiful, the best thing about it is that several items I used are on the Retiring List and on sale!!

Before I share the Stampin' Up! product, I want to share the technique used to make the flowers.  I took Vellum Cardstock (101856) and colored on one side using Stampin' Write Markers.  The two colors used are Emerald Envy and Blushing Bride.  When the color was dry, I punched out the flowers using the Blossom Bunch Punch and cut out the leaves using the Flourish Thinlits Dies.

Here is a copy showing the simple technique.

Coloring on Vellum Tech

Here are the supplies used:

  • Blossom Bunch Punch (140612) - Retiring list and on sale for $9.00
  • Falling Petals Embossing Folder (142761) - Retiring list and on sale for $4.25
  • Blushing Bride 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (141692) - Retiring list for $9.00 (I used Blushing Bride Baker's Twine.)
  • Vellum Cardstock (101856)
  • Subtles Enamel Shapes (141679)
  • White Perfect Accents (138416)
  • Delicate White Doilies (141701)
  • Flourish Thinlits Dies (141478)
  • Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies (141497)
  • Teeny Tiny Wishes (128748-Wood; 127802-Clear) for the Sentiment
  • Blushing Bride and Emerald Envy Stampin' Write Markers
  • Glue Dots (103683)
  • Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)

This card was cased from the card shown on the Stampin' Up! Website...I just used Vellum to make the different flowers.

I hope my Mother-in-law enjoys this card as much as I do.
